Animal Sculpture Class (3×2 hours) Thursday evenings 7-9pm
€220.00
Besides the potters wheel there are loads of different techniques possible to relax while engaging in your creative process.
In this class, the very talented artist Susan Dickson is teaching you to make an animal sculpture of ca 25-30 cm tall in a series of three classes.
This series of classes is taking place on 3 and 10 April and the finishing touch will be given with a glazing class on 8 May.
The first session will be dedicated to the actual figure sculpting out of a full clay block, the second session will be concentrating on the hollowing out of the figure and possibly further detailing of the sculpture (adding fur and texture for example) and during the third session you will be glazing the bisque fired figures, whereafter the figures will be fired for a second time.
The course is adequate for beginners as well for advanced students. The approach is individual and allows for diversification for different skill levels.
Please dress in comfortable clothes that can get dirty and bring along an old towel and an apron.
Included in the course are all materials, use of tools and firing of your sculpture.

Monday 2-4pm
Working with clay is my passion. Besides the potters wheel there are loads of different techniques possible to relax while engaging in your creative process.
This class is focused on any technique other than wheel throwing, including slab building, coiling, pinching, use of moulds etc.
Hand building courses are held on Monday afternoons and it is highly recommended to register for a number of classes as the hand building techniques are generally generating slower end results than wheel throwing.
The course is adequate for beginners as well for advanced students. The approach is individual and allows for diversification for different skill levels.
Your piece(s) will be bisque fired and could be decorated/glazed by opting for a glaze decoration course (held generally on Friday evenings).
Please dress in comfortable clothes that can get dirty and bring along an old towel and an apron. In case, you can buy a hand embroidered apron in the shop for a reasonable price.
Included in the course are all materials and bisque firing of your piece(s).
